Our Vision

Our Vision

We want to give every child in our community the chance to love reading, to increase their confidence at school, their imagination, and their aspirations for life.

We want to foster a love of books and reading among local children, to give the best start possible to their primary education.

We want to help build strong family bonds by making it easier for parents and guardians to spend time reading with their kids.

Research by the Literacy Trust has shown that literacy skills don’t just make a difference at school – they can also make a difference at home, promoting emotional wellbeing in the family, better health choices and the ability and confidence to gain employment in later life.

With the personal, professional and wider social benefits that books can bring, our vision is to make a positive difference in our community that will last for generations.
